OK - Is it time YET? Can we FINALLY discuss Guns?

("Money"........ Pink Floyd's 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon. Written by Roger Waters, Money lyrics © Universal Music Publishing Group)

With the horrific news feeding from Connecticut, I have to ask...IS it finally time to talk about what no one is willing to discuss?

There is NO reason for manufacturer's in this nation to be making millions of dollars off the slaughter of children; no reason for a gun show to be allowed to sell anything they want to anyone, no questions asked; no reason for an organization like the NRA to exist.

The gun and munitions manufacturers of this nation and other nations are pouring every kind of munition they can create on the streets of the US.
The guns found in the possession of the man who committed the murders in Connecticut - Glock and a Sig Sauer, both pistols, and a .223-caliber Bushmaster rifle (like that shown above)

There are very few laws on the books to control the flood and those that are on the books, are made with loopholes so big, an armored vehicle could drive through.  In most states, gun shows are permitted "free for alls":

Plop down the money and buy nearly anything without so much as a glance up. Who cares if you are another OKC bomber wanna-be, crazed anti-politico who wants to shoot up the parking lot of a local grocery or a college kid gone mad deciding he needs to be the latest master villain to take out a movie theater, right?

Coming from Colorado (hey, we excel in mass murders - from Columbine to Aurora)  where one has an immediate check at a gun shop (and even that does not account for all those criminal actions committed by individuals who got records "expunged" ) but NOT at a gun show (and let's not forget internet sales - the guy who slaughtered in Aurora bought from shows and internet for an arsenal of guns, ammunition and bomb-making materials with instructions).

I don't blame it all on the immature, the personality challenged and the paranoid ideologues.  I can lay blame on the dealers and on the manufacturers of guns...............

  GUN-AD-OBAMA

..................that can be changed into an automatic human killing machine with huge clips after a changed screw or simple spring to be obscene (and instructions on how to do so actually given out at gun shows)  - Guns that have no use but mass killing of humans; weapons for no purpose other than ultimate destruction; munitions so powerful that it can disfigure anyone in a radius of 10 feet have NO purpose except to slaughter and play to the anti-social paranoia promoted by those who make money off the slaughter and fear.

It is all about the money - blood, death and destruction pays very well

"Money, it's a hit
Don't give me that
Do goody good bullshit "

The fear mongering mixed with promoted childish testosteroned genital replacement, on top of outright hate,  encouraged by the NRA and their owners is psychopathic - and it sells.

FEAR begets fear and it soon begets violence.

AND THAT is what the NRA and manufacturers count on.................

"Hu Huh! I was in the right!"
"Yes, absolutely in the right!"
"I certainly was in the right!"
"You was definitely in the right. That geezer was cruising for a bruising!"
"Yeah!"
"Why does anyone do anything?"
"I don't know, I was really drunk at the time!"
"I was just telling him, he couldn't get into number 2. He was asking
Why he wasn't coming up on freely, after I was yelling and
Screaming and telling him why he wasn't coming up on freely.
It came as a heavy blow, but we sorted the matter out"
