Support for those who have gone before: FreeAnons Solidarity Network Mail to the Jail Campaign

Jeremy Hammond is in prison for his involvement in hacking Stratfor's secure systems and supplying Wikileaks with emails proving that corporations, the US government, as well as Police Departments and other agencies, are paying Stratfor to spy on, infiltrate and manipulate activist organizations - Hammond still in prison; Stratfor still free

Jeremy Hammond (aka, Anarchaos) was arrested in March, 2012, after he and others around the world, broke through the security in Stratfor (Strategic Forecasting), a private security firm.  By August, 2012,  he plead guilty to a violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years, in order to protect his family from being brought into private lawsuits for millions of dollars and protect himself from charges and frivolous lawsuits in multiple states that could have increased his time to decades in prison.

Deric Lostutter (aka KYAnonymous), a member of KnightSec, confronted and took down the wall of secrecy around Big Red Football's Rape Crew and forced the less than caring (and less than honest) sheriff and Big Red supporting DA to investigate the gang rape of a young adolescent girl from Ohio who had been manipulated into going "out" with a member of the team,  drug from party to party, raped, abused, and photographed naked, urinated on and otherwise abused while dozens of partiers watched, giggled and otherwise allowed the abuse to continue (Kitty Genovese syndrome on steroids).

Deric took exception to the on-going psychological abuse of the girl as Big Red Brats tweeted photos and videos across the planet, degrading her even more.  He took exception to the entire lack of concern for this adolescent girl by the small town of Steubenville, its so-called law enforcement and its negligence and the misrepresentation of the facts as well as attempted cover-up of the crime that ran all the way to the administrators, coaches and staff of Steubenville High, the DA's office and throughout the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department...

Deric pushed for action, gaining the growing support of people around the planet, and #OpRollRedRoll took on a life of its own.

Calls for the US government's FBI to investigate were unheeded. Instead of responding to the rape and abuse of an underage girl manipulated across the state line, by Big Red players, for the purpose of that rape; the cover-up by the DA and the High School staff as well as the blatant negligence of the Sheriff's Office now shamed into an investigation of their Football heroes, the FBI focused on Deric.

At first, he thought the FBI agent at the door was with FedEx. "As I open the door to greet the driver, approximately 12 FBI SWAT team agents jumped out of the truck, screaming for me to 'Get the fuck down!' with M-16 assault rifles and full riot gear, armed, safety off, pointed directly at my head," Lostutter wrote today on his blog. "I was handcuffed and detained outside while they cleared my house."
Two students were finally brought to trial and given only 10 months each for their part in the rape and abuse of the girl..... Deric is looking at a potential sentence of 10 years.

These are but a few of the hacktivists, arrested, indicted, and/or serving sentences for acts of protest and acts of conscience on behalf of the people of the planet.  Some breached computer security systems, some just reported on those acts.........All are true heroes of the people confronting a corruption that runs unchecked - by corporations, law enforcement agencies and government bodies -  while the people of the planet are victimized.

As do all true heroes of the people, these heroes need the support of the people.  They have stood, acted and exposed those who play fast and loose with human and civil rights; those who steal power and are corrupted by power.
